Our CLADES conference will take place at Zebrastraat Ghent (Zebrastraat 32, Ghent).
In line with our goals of sustainability, we recommend you travel to the venue by train, tram, bus, bike, or (you never know) on foot.
The venue is easily accessible by public transport. Sint-Pieters station is a 2 km walk away, and the city center (Korenmarkt) is 2.2 km away.
By bus
There's a bus stop nearby, Gent Leeuwstraat, a 10-minute bus ride from the station. For those coming from the city center (Korenmarkt), you can take Tram 2 (the green one) at Ghent Korenmarkt Platform 4 in the direction of Melle Leeuw. The closest stop to the venue is called Gent Vijfwindgatenstraat.
Buses and trams in Ghent are operated by a company called 'De Lijn'. The best way to make sure you have the latest information is to plan your journey via their website or mobile app. Services will be updated on January 5, so the info on our website might be a little outdated then. You can buy tickets in a variety of ways.
By train
Trains are operated by the NMBS. You can find the latest information about planned disruptions and plan your journey via their website or the mobile app. An overview of ticket types can be found here. Travelling internationally? Use the international website here and the app here.
Accessibility
Passengers with reduced mobility are sometimes required to book assistance up to 24 hours in advance, please see the national information or international information for instructions when travelling by train. For travel by bus, you can find more information on accessibility (wheelchair users or passengers with a visual impairment) here.
By car
Please note that Ghent's inner city is a low emission zone. The venue is located just inside this zone (their underground parking can be accessed without driving through the low emission zone, but it is important to be aware of it). You can check the vehicle requirements and (if needed) apply for permission to enter the low emission zone via the website. This website also shows the nearest car parks for alternative parking if needed.
Zebrastraat offers underground parking spaces. Information taken from their website:
